Uncertainty. That is where we are. We are receiving information from so many different sources. I have found that Evidence Based Birth is a great place for information regarding the current Covid-19 virus.

As of right now, both of our local hospitals and homebirth midwives are welcoming doulas into birthing space with their clients. I personally feel now more than ever doulas roles are important in supporting families in their birth journey. We are able to bring in familiarity. A sense of calm. A space keeper. To reminder staff that this is still a birth, a moment this family will never forget. Let's keep that moment soft and special.
