Stress & Resilience Research Lab A trans-disciplinary group of laboratories studying stress & addiction at the University of Minnesot

Our laboratories are located within the University of Minnesota Medical School, Duluth and Twin Cities campuses. The laboratories were established in 1997 by Professor Mustafa al’Absi, PhD, who leads our trans-disciplinary group of research laboratories in studies related to stress and addiction at the University of Minnesota.

Due to the pandemic, studies that had been conducted in-person are now conducted remotely, making it easier for people outside of the Twin Cities and Duluth areas to participate!

We are looking for smokers who are healthy, between the ages of 18-70 years old, and who have regular access to a computer and internet to participate in our studies.
