Hi friends!!!

I’ve been a little absent the past year mostly because I was embracing pregnancy and life with a newborn. It’s been a pretty amazing, yet wild year to say the least.

I’ve had a lot of people reach out over this time and ask if I am still sharing my yoga & mindfulness practice with others. Though it is such a great compliment to know I’ve been missed, sadly I havn’t been teaching much since I moved to NC. But that doesn’t mean my love for yoga has disappeared. It’s a constant in my life and will always be a part me.

Instead, I have been working on other ways to implement my experiences and as I have navigated many ups and downs while moving and familiarizing myself with a new place my longing for peace and calm has always existed (as I’m sure all of us can relate to)

Mornings have always been a treasure to me. I love quiet, peaceful, slow mornings. And upon the arrival of our new bundle of joy, mornings were pretty chaotic for awhile, and I hated that.

That’s why I started implementing small rhythms into my morning routine to help me get my mornings back. And after some conversations with people who felt like they didn’t have their mornings under control I knew I needed to share some of my tips and tricks!

Which is why I created a Mindful Morning Guide to help YOU create a morning that serves you.

It’s full of tips, exercises, and personal experiences that will help you establish more peace and less overwhelm in your everyday!

And it’s available for download now!!! 🥰

For a limited time you can snag this guide for a low price before the price increases after the holiday!

With the New Year right around the corner, why not start it off with tailored to you rhythms that will make you excited for every morning, no matter what season of life you are in!

Whelp, the cat is (somewhat) out of the bag. 🎉We are packing our belongings and taking a piece of Minnesota with us to the east coast of North Carolina where we will soon call the beach home!
December will be our last month in Minnesota which means the Rest to Revive workshop that starts at the end of this month will be the last time to practice with me in-person for the time being. 😭
Yoga has been the staple of my life here in Minnesota. It has brought me so much joy, community, friends, hope, and health and I’m going to miss practicing and teaching in this beautiful state.
I do have plans on picking up teaching in North Carolina once I find an established studio I love and eventually plan on (hopefully) hosting some NC yoga retreats, too! I’ll keep y’all in the loop as we settle down in our new place!
Thank you to everyone who I met along this beautiful journey. Our connections will never be forgotten and I hope we get to practice together, in the same room, in the future!

Until then, shine on bright yogis!

This four week yoga series is designed for individuals looking to journey inward through a tailored asana practice, meditation, breath work, and journaling. As we make the transition from fall into winter, examine what might be shifting internally and take a moment to slow down and rest. Joella Erin and Stacy Nightwine will guide you through a series of dynamic practices consisting of a new theme each week. Each 90 minute class will begin with pranayama (controlled breathing), followed by an asana practice (yoga poses) and will then move into a tranquil sound bath. This series will meet every Monday from 6pm-7:30 for four consecutive weeks at Port City Nutrition in Two Harbors, MN on the following dates:

November 29th
December 6th
December 13th
December 20

Please wear comfortable clothing to move in, bring a yoga mat, water bottle, a journal and any other props you may need to make your experience more comfortable.

Cost: $120 for all four sessions or $35 per class (if room is available) - Limited to 10 participants

We will also be offering this as a live option on zoom.

This past summer I hosted a Yin Yoga Training with 16 lovely humans nestled just outside of Two Harbors, MN. It was more than I could have imagined, full of challenge, inspiration and connection. The feedback I received from this program has inspired and assured me that continuing to offer this program to the public is a must! These past few years have been a huge pivot for me and my business, so these in person yoga trainings are so special to me! - With that being said, I have a special announcement for a much needed in-person yoga series with one of my dearest friends launching THIS Sunday. Stay tuned.

Currently, I am in the process of seeking out a space big enough to host a weekend program in the winter (reach out if this is you or someone you know!)

In the meantime, I wanted to remind those who are busy and unable to fully commit to a weekend training that my Yin Yoga training is available online. I have a few individuals currently taking the online training at their own pace and are raving about it. You do not have to be a yoga teacher to join. A deep desire to further your education on yoga is all that is required.

If you would like to know more about the online training head to this link: boreal-bliss.teachable.com/p/yin-yoga-teacher-training

You will also find a few yoga bundles available here, like my 28 Yoga Journey. (https://boreal-bliss.teachable.com/p/dedicate)

As always, reach out with any questions.

Yoga on!

Yin Yoga is the practice of long held asanas to help work the deeper tissues of the body. This quiet practice focuses on creating space within the muscles and connective tissue while gaining flexibility, releasing tension, and calming the nervous system. An intensely deep form of yoga, Yin requires....

“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.”
― Eleanor Roosevelt

Do you find it hard to stay in the present moment? Is it difficult for you to not think about the past or the future and just be present wherever you are?

What if's and Should's creep up on us every single day, especially when we have a busy schedule. What if I responded to that question differently? I should have attended that workshop, gathering, or event.

We are trained to believe that we need to constantly stay busy in order to feel successful in many avenues of our lives. The truth is, we need to break this habit and incorporate more healthy habits to help us stay in the present moment so we can cherish everyday as if it were our last.

Here are six ways to help you stay in the now.

✨ Stay Present: Become aware of your surroundings. Notice the ground beneath you, the sky above you and the smells all around you. Ask yourself, what am I doing now?

✨Observe Your Thoughts: When you feel your mind wondering bring it back to the present moment. Take deep breaths. Focus on what is happening right now.

✨Give Up Expectations: Let go of how you think things should be.

✨ Do Single Tasking: Focus on one thing at one time. This allows you to give your full attention to the task you are doing.

✨ Move Slowly: Do not rush the things you are doing. If you need more time to complete something honor that. Remember, you don't HAVE to do anything, you GET to do it.

✨ Practice Gratitude: Before I roll out of bed I always list three things I am grateful for. Try listing a few things you are grateful for every morning, every evening or whenever you remember to. Jot them down so you can look back when you need a pick me up. There is so much to be grateful for.

Don't let your mind control you. Take a moment and appreciate what you have achieved. How do you want your story to end? The past is an experience, the future is a myth and the present is a gift. Take control of the present moment, enjoy it.

Slowing down and doing less was always a concept that was challenging for me, so I rarely ever savored the finer things.

I used to think I was only valuable if I was constantly doing a million things at once. I believed this to be the measuring cup for how loved I was or for how much others looked up to me.

Does this sound familiar?

Yoga has allowed me to slow down, to stay present and to cherish the current moment.

When taking a moment to pause, the soul restores itself, there is a deeper recognization of the environment that surrounds us, and with this comes clarity and the ability to see the future.

Here are a few tips to help you slow down and take it all in:

✨Leave work at work. Drive an extra few blocks if you need to decompress a little more. Jam out to your favorite song. Do whatever you need to do to leave work at work.

✨Remember: You are loved even when you are slowing down and especially when you aren't over scheduling yourself. Taking time to reflect allows you to free up space to offer more time for others and the things you love to do!

✨ DON'T OVER SCHEDULE YOURSELF. If you are a planner than add in some "down time" in your schedule. This is so important.

✨Be kind, always.

✨Find a consistent way to relieve stress; meditation, hiking, daily walks, biking, etc. Relieving stress offers support to process your emotions more effectively.

✨Find your self-worth. Healing starts with self compassion.

Lastly,

✨Remember that you are perfect just the way you are.
