September 1st is as big as Jan 1st in the fitness business.
Summer is over. Vacations completed, Schools and colleges are back.
It’s the time everyone starts training again.
The mistake I see people making at this time of the year is trying to do too much at once.
While it’s tempting to jump into an extreme training and nutrition program and try to lose double the fat you may have gained over the summer in half the time, I take a different approach.
A relentless ex*****on of the basics.
Yes we’re going to step it up slightly, but going extreme always seems to backfire in my experience.
Instead - I recommend…
Get consistent with strength training
Clean up your nutrition (don’t go extreme here)
Get your step count up or add cardio
Sounds simple. And it is.
But simple and easy aren’t the same thing.
We have a solid 12 weeks before the winter holidays begin, and a few more after that before I rewrite this post in Jan 😉
