Ecumen Lakeshore celebrated their volunteers last week with a fabulous meal to thank them for the countless moments of kindness they gave throughout the last year. If you look outside our Chapel wall, it lists the 149 volunteers within our community and how they volunteer their time. The meal of Tuscan Chicken over rice, asparagus, and Chocolate Lava Cake dessert were out of this world along with the appreciation speeches from Jana Warner and Kristy Johnson. We are so grateful for each of our volunteers – today and every day.

Our annual Carrot Cake social gathering where residents can come together to celebrate spring and the Easter holiday was at the end of last week. The carrot cake is a symbol of togetherness. Everyone enjoyed great conversation and of course a prize drawing at the end for some sweet treats.

Their visit provided an opportunity to highlight the meaningful work happening within our community and to share how they conduct the news process from start to finish. A friendly game of Leprechaun Balloon Volleyball last week ended with a mix of exercise and laughter. A great combo! Everyone had a great time and have requested for this to be a monthly event. ☘️🏐

Ecumen Lakeshore had its second annual Health Fair where many individuals were able to go table to table to receive health information from vendors around the community. Ecumen had several tables, and vendors. We also had the pleasure of having students from St. Scholastica P.A. with us to discuss different health issues. We appreciate all who assisted us with our Health Fair and thank you for coming!

We celebrated St Patrick’s Day by wearing green, listening to Irish Tunes by our wonderful Marlene, and enjoying Irish beverages and Grasshopper Pie. Everyone had a fabulous time celebrating this annual event. ☘️💚
