COME JOIN US at the Feel-Good Event of the Year – Dining in the Dark dinner and silent auction!

This unique event is on Thursday, November 6 at Clyde Iron Works in Duluth. A social hour and silent auction begin at 5 p.m., with dinner and the program at 6:15 p.m.

Beyond the guided experience of eating while wearing a blindfold and gaining a small understanding of an experience of someone who is blind, highlights include:

“Big Wave Dave” Adams will perform with former Lighthouse students.

Silent auction items include a registration for the sold-out Grandma’s Marathon, a Minnesota Gopher’s youth football jersey autographed by Koi Perich, two tickets to Wheel Of Fortune at the DECC in November, a handcrafted lighthouse quilt, a wide assortment of local restaurant gift certificates, and more!

This exciting new initiative in Duluth offers instruction in sailing for people who are blind. YES, people who are blind can be sailors, too!

Our Story

If you or someone you love is experiencing vision loss, you have come to the right place. For more than 100 years, the Lighthouse has been helping people of all ages adapt to vision loss. Our goal is to help our clients maintain vibrant, independent lives with the help of tools, training, and social/emotional support. The Lighthouse Center for Vision Loss supports people of all ages and at all stages of vision loss. We help our clients navigate life at home, at the workplace, and in the communities where they live. Services range from one-on-one skills training to workplace seminars for businesses with employees experiencing vision loss. Welcome to the Lighthouse, where you can see life a new way.
