Full-Time Kitchen Manager/Cook

Job Description:

Are you a passionate cook looking to make a difference in the lives of seniors? McCarthy Manor is seeking a dedicated full-time Cook to join our team! Our facility provides a warm and welcoming environment for our residents, and we are committed to delivering nutritious and delicious meals that meet their dietary needs and preferences.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, in accordance with established menus and dietary guidelines.
- Assist in menu planning and development, ensuring meals are balanced and appealing.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Accommodate special dietary needs and preferences of residents.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure residents’ nutritional requirements are met.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents during meal service.
- Participate in ongoing training and development related to food preparation and safety.

Qualifications:

- Previous cooking experience in a healthcare or assisted living setting preferred.
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and nutrition for seniors.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Food Handler’s certification or willingness to obtain.
- Passion for cooking and a commitment to quality service.

McCarthy Manor Assisted Living is seeking a responsible and caring staff member to work every other weekend 5:30am-12:30pm shift. Extra shifts are always available to pick up!

Duties include resident cares, med administration, some light cooking, and attending to the residents needs. Experience is beneficial, but not mandatory. We will provide training!

The Resident Coordinator should have strong written and communication skills, along with strong computer and Tech knowledge. It is beneficial to know Google Office, Word and Excel.

The Resident Coordinator/PCA position is 3 days during the week and every other weekend. Some of the duties include scheduling appointments, passing meds, paperwork, taking residents to their appointments.

The every other weekend PCA duties will include passing meds, making the dinner meal, charting, etc.
