One Month as Brightwater Health!

It has been a month since we became Brightwater Health, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the support, encouragement, and trust from our community. This first month has been filled with connection, positive momentum, and a renewed commitment to providing compassionate, accessible care across the Northland.

Thank you for growing with us, believing in our mission, and helping us build a brighter, stronger future for the individuals and families we serve.

Here’s to many more months of showing up, supporting wellness, and creating meaningful change—together.

Our Project Reach Out Drop-In Center is one of our most attended spaces.
Our Drop-In Center provides a safe space to area youth between the ages of 12 - 21 years old. We provide young individuals with an empowering environment for personal growth and wellbeing. We also offer healthy snacks, showers, hygiene items and access to laundry needs. Our dedicated Free-Store offers youth the opportunity to pick up canned goods, clothing , warm socks and other items they may not otherwise receive.

Consider donating to Brightwater Health to provide a ray of hope to youth in our area going through a difficult time.

This holiday season we are raising funds for our beloved Outreach Centers.
Did you know that Brightwater Health operates 4 different Outreach Centers in the Northland?

What is an Outreach Center?
An Outreach Center is a community-based space that connects individuals with resources for essential services like housing, food, social activities, health and counselling.
Our Outreach Centers focus on assisting these various needs with our neighbors in need. Our locations include the Harmony Center (located in the Damiano Center, Cloquet Outreach Center, Waterfront Center in Two Harbors and Brightwater Health's Project Reach Out's Drop-In Center in Superior, WI.

Donations collected will directly support our continued operations at all our locations. Giving to us means giving a smile to a neighbor in need of support!

We are thrilled to share a special moment of recognition for one of our incredible team members, Angela Gilbertson, who was honored by Recovery Alliance Duluth (RAD) at their first annual Gratitude Lunch early in December.

At this event, each RAD team member invited a community partner who has made a meaningful impact in supporting recovery across the Northland. Angela was invited by Jessica, a CPRS with RAD — and was surprised with the award for “Always Showing Up for Those in Recovery.”

In true Angela fashion, she didn’t even know what the event was until she arrived — but as she often says, “Just show up!”
And she lives that every day. Angela jokes, “I may not always know what the heck I’m doing, but I will show up.” Her belief that progress begins where presence exists shines through in everything she does.

💙 Please join us in congratulating Angela for this well-deserved recognition and in celebrating the powerful partnership between Brightwater Health and Recovery Alliance Duluth.

“Laughter is the most best thing there is! And we do laugh a lot.” – Lonnie, Outreach Center Cloquet Member.

Lonnie is a volunteer BINGO caller for game day at the Outreach Center. He loves it so much he even donates his own gifts and prizes, so attendees have something to win when they play.
Game day is just one of the social activities we offer at our Outreach Centers, and they allow for fun, safety and laughter… and even some prizes.

GivingTuesday we are raising money and asking for donations to help support things like game day.

Giving a meal on .

This GivingTuesday we are raising funds for our beloved Outreach Centers that focus on connecting individuals with essential services like housing, food, and safe social activities.

At our Outreach Center in Cloquet, MN we proudly serve meals twice a week to the nearly 50 individuals coming to us in need of a meal. Continuing this service is greatly impacted by donations.
