Join us and the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce on Friday, February 27th for Finally Fridays!

Finally Fridays is the Chamber’s morning social series which provides guests the opportunity to start their day with professional accompaniment, breakfast beverages, and snacks. Join us at this special Finally Fridays hosted by Brightwater Health to learn more about the critical work they do for mental health in our community.

In lieu of a registration fee, the Duluth Chamber team will collect cash donations at the door that will go directly to support Brightwater's local Outreach Centers, providing services, meals, social activities, free stores & more to our community members in need. Credit card donations will also be accepted. A $5 minimum donation is encouraged.

About the Host:

We are the Northland’s largest mental health and recovery services provider for the last 85+ years.

Formerly the Human Development Center (HDC), Brightwater Health was established in 1938 as a nonprofit community mental health center, created to support individuals and families across the Northland facing mental health challenges. More than 80 years later, our mission remains clear: to foster hope, resilience, and recovery by providing integrated, culturally respectful mental health and addiction services—every single day.

Today, Brightwater Health is the largest community mental health provider in Northern Minnesota, delivering coordinated care for people of all ages across Carlton, Lake, and St. Louis counties in Minnesota, and Douglas County in Wisconsin. Our services have grown to meet the diverse needs of the communities we serve—while keeping accessibility at the heart of everything we do.

We are filled with gratitude.

Thank you to everyone who attended our Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting last Wednesday. It was wonderful to gather with our community partners, supporters, staff, board members and friends.

"We are servants to this community. This is 10 years in the making to get in this building. It was really important to us to have a location where we could offer over 25+ services in one place. Where anyone can walk through our doors and have access to full comprehensive care. We couldn't have done it without the support of our community. Thank you so much from all of us at Brightwater" - Ben Hatfield, CEO.

A special thank you to the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce, Northern Waters Smokehaus, The Vault Event Decor Rental, Encore Event & Party Express, Mama’s Midnight Bakery Duluth Event Lighting for making our event extra special and all our vendors who have supported us to get to this day like Šek Design Studio, Donald Holm Construction Co; Inc., DSGW Architecture & Duluth Sign.
