Welcome to the AHL Healthcare Group official page! Incorporated in 2012, AHL Healthcare Group was formed to act as a parent company for At Home Living, BRIDGES to Success, and Wesley Residence of Duluth, MN. As new opportunities presented themselves and services were diversified, Chris Priley created an umbrella group to house each licensed entity. AHL Healthcare Group today employs more than 250 staff and serves over 175 adults of all different ages, backgrounds, and disabilities. However, each division holds the same values which are:
• All services will be offered and run in a profitable manner
• We will strive for 100% compliance with licensing and employment law regulations
• We will ensure our facilities look and feel like a home we would want for ourselves or a loved one.
• We will employ educated staff; providing training, support and resources to further their knowledge and promote confidence in their delivery of service.
• We will structure services to help those we serve lead active, healthy and meaningful lives of their choice.
• We will ensure our residents are respected and cared for as individual people.
• We will serve people in the least restrictive environment appropriate for their need
• We will strive to maintain a positive image by giving back to the community

Our Edgemont Home went over to Candlewick for Valentine's bingo, which they LOVED (see what we did there?!?! 😉)!! We ended up having a big dance party and enjoyed some strawberry short cake as well!! 😋😋

Andrew, a staff member at our Prairie Home, was selected as our Metro West Employee of the Month!

Andrew is the best. When you watch him in action, you can see that he truly cares about the folks he works with. Below is the nomination he received:

"Since joining AHL, Andrew has been an incredible asset to the Prairie House team. He consistently goes above and beyond to enrich the lives of the individuals we support, always researching activities and community events and even assisting PC in planning a large group trip to the Minnesota Zoo this past summer. On his own time, Andrew thoughtfully purchases special snacks and delights in surprising the guys, ensuring everyone feels included and valued.
Andrew excels at managing his time and attention so that no one ever feels left out, and he is always willing to step in to support coworkers and PC when staffing is tight. After volunteering to help fill overnight openings at Prairie, he consistently worked 60-hour weeks for over a year without hesitation. More recently, during a severe snowstorm when two staff members were unable to make it to work—one due to sliding into a ditch—Andrew finished his full day at Prairie and then volunteered to assist at Boulder, despite never having worked with that team before, simply because he knew help was needed. While at Boulder, Andrew also demonstrates exceptional professionalism and skill, including flawlessly de-escalating and redirecting a client who was insisting on going to the hospital.
He brings a positive attitude and genuine smile to work every day, and it is clear through his actions how deeply he cares about building strong, meaningful caregiving relationships with each individual he supports. Andrew truly loves what he does, has a heart perfectly suited for this field, and we are incredibly fortunate to have him on our team."

Pike Lake found the medallion! Our Duluth homes put together a medallion hunt. We had some very clever clues, so kudos!! Tammie and Lexy from our Pike Lake Home figured it out!

We're already looking forward to the next one. Was so much fun and really created some competition amongst our homes!!

Meet Jim! Jim resides at our Dayton Home in Dayton, MN.

Jim loves going to car shows, fishing, hunting, & camping! 🎣🚗

Jim's favorite foods are spaghetti, steak (must be medium rare!), burgers, and Broadway Bar & Pizza - Maple Grove!! 🍕🍝🍔

Jim's favorite sport to watch is NASCAR!!

If Jim had a super power, he said he'd be an engineer so that he could build things that he can blow up because he was raised in the army!!

The Dayton House has been having a blast. We checked out a movie at Mann Champlin 14, had food at Buffalo Wild Wings, and recently checked out the Northtown Mall! Looking forward to what spring has in store!!

Meet Esther! Esther resides at our Dayton Home in Dayton, MN.

Esther loves going to the movies, coloring, shopping, playing Uno, and doing puzzles! 🎬🎨

Esther's favorite food is sushi! She could have it for every meal!! 🍣

Brandie's favorite sports team is the Minnesota Vikings! Skol!!

If Brandie had a super power, she said it would to move things with her mind like Matilda!

Sydney, a staff member at our Boulder Circle Home, was selected as our Metro West Employee of the Month!

Sydney's positive energy shines bright! We're very lucky to have her on the team. Below is the nomination she received:

"Sydney is an absolute ray of sunshine! Sydney always shows up to her shift on time and ready to work with a positive attitude! No matter what the day throws at her, she never gets angry, she is always finding a way to see the brighter side of any situation. This not only is noticed by the staff, but the residents as well. The residents are always saying that they are in a great mood whenever Sydney is here.
Sydney goes above and beyond with taking care of the clients as well! She is always willing to bring them places to get personal needs items, and also willing to take them out on drives when they are feeling shut in.
Sydney helps motivate the clients in positive ways to get all of their goals done in a shift, which is very hard to do.
Sydney not only completes all of her tasks, but she does extra projects as well. She will do any task that is put in front of her to the best of her ability.
For these reasons, I am nominating Sydney for Employee of the Month."

You're the best, Sydney. Thank you for being you! We're lucky to have you at Boulder Circle and with AHL.

Thunder, an individual residing at our Woodland Home in Duluth, took a weekend trip down to Minneapolis for a weekend of fun!

If you know Thunder, you know he's a die-hard Prince fan! So obviously we had to go and check out the mural. We enjoyed a day at Can Can Wonderland, checked out Como Park Zoo & Conservatory, ate some good food and had an absolute blast.

Shout out to Vi for making the trip with Thunder for a fun-filled weekend.
