It is with a very heavy heart that I must share the news of the passing of our dog Cookie.
Cookie was our almost 14-year-old goldendoodle and perhaps the sweetest animal I have ever known. She began coming with us to the office as a 3-month-old puppy and grew up amongst our patients. She often greeted people as they entered the office and said goodbye to them as they left. When we were busy with patients, she also made her rounds to each, cajoling attention and pets with her sweet face.
Cookie was never trained as a service dog but for the past 14 years, I often wondered who helped people more, myself or the dog! It wasn’t uncommon for patients with lower back problems to almost miraculously be able to get on the floor to play with her despite their condition. The dog was a marvelous healer and was perfect dog for a chiropractic office!!
We are going to miss our dear, sweet, furry pup. Her absence leaves a hole in our hearts and a yearning for the unquestionable love she provided us. I am only glad that so many of you got to know and love her as well.
