We filled all doctors prescriptions as well as sell, adjust and repair eyewear. As of August 2015 we still do everything you just read about, however, we got a facelift, a new name and a doctor. Nathaniel David Edwards, OD PLLC, the son of Dan and Cindy Edwards completed optometry school and bought the business. February is here and it’s a great month to focus on your vision and overall health!

February is Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) & Low Vision Awareness Month, a time to learn about conditions that can affect central vision and make everyday tasks harder as we age and how regular eye exams can help with early detection and management.

February is also American Heart Month, a nationwide observance emphasizing heart health and since cardiovascular health impacts your eyes too, it’s a perfect reminder to take care of your whole self this month.

And don’t forget: Rare Disease Day is on February 28th, an international day dedicated to raising awareness about rare conditions and supporting those affected.

Due to inclement weather, Edwards Family Vision will be closed this Monday for the safety of our patients and staff.

Pardon our mess, but exciting things are happening at Edwards Family Vision! Things might be a little dustier than usual, but it's for a good reason.

This weekend, Dr. Edwards rolled up his sleeves and got to work on the first phase of demolition that will pave the way for an expanded optical and much-needed updates to improve office flow and productivity. His hands-on approach reflects the same care and dedication he brings to every patient interaction.

This project isn’t just about remodeling, it’s about creating a better experience for our patients, offering a wider selection of frames, and ensuring our space continues to support the high-quality care you deserve.

We’re so grateful for his commitment, vision, and determination to continually invest in our practice and our community. We can’t wait to share what’s coming next!

The festive season is just around the corner! Christmas and New Year are on their way! 🎄🎅️ We're excited to share our holiday schedule with you. At this time, it looks like the hours will actually remain the same as normal. A new holiday tradition for City of Duncan plans to bring the community together for a festive and friendly Tree Lighting Ceremony at Fuqua Park East at 6 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2025.

The event kicks off with a welcome from City Manager Chris Deal and a holiday message from Mayor Robert Armstrong to be followed by a performance from the Duncan High School Choir before the 25-foot decorated tree lighting countdown begins. There will be cocoa and cookies as well as photo opportunities within the park at the festively decorated gazebo and trees.

For questions about the Watch Duncan Sparkle event, please contact City Hall at 580-252-0250 during regular business hours from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and speak to the Communications Department.
