Finley had a follow-up cardiology appt today, he did amazing getting his echo and chest xray done. Everything looks good so we didn't make any changes. We will see cardiology again in 4 weeks and get another chest xray which will be a few days after resuming a normal diet instead of his super low/no fat diet he is currently on. Before leaving children's I got my normal Starbucks coffee and since Fin can't have his normal cake pop he got strawberry lemonade!

Xray this morning looked good so we came down in dosage one one of Finley's 3 diuretics. Depending how tomorrow mornings xray looks we could be talking the "H" word! Today was just a lazy day, we got up went to the garden and then just hung out in our room being lazy the rest of the day.

Finleys chest xray this morning looked even more improved so we were able to stop the iv diuretics and go back to all oral diuretics. He will have another xray in the morning to make sure it is still improving without the iv diuretics. Hopefully if it is even more improved from today we can start discussing going home. Finley and I have just been spending our days playing and wondering the unit and the hospital.

Finley's chest xray this morning looked improved from yesterday but he still had some fluid on his right lung. He didn't need any oxygen over night though which is a great sign. We continued with iv diuretics today and depending how tomorrow mornings xray looks will determine whether we continue iv diuretics or switch back over to by mouth. Once we are back on by mouth diuretics we will need to have a clear xray after a day or two before we can go home to make sure they will keep the fluid off. So today Finley and I played, went for walks, went to the garden, did laundry, and sat in the sunroom. All in all its been a good day!

No going home today for this little guy, his oxygen levels are great during the day but drop at night his chest xray this morning showed a little more fluid around his right lung than yesterday so we are adding back iv diuretics to hopefully dry him up and avoid needing another chest tube. So we will likely be here a few more days.

So today Finley had a chest xray that revealed a tiny bit of fluid so they added back the diuretic they took away yesterday and that was thw culprit of needing o2 over night last night. He hasn't need o2 at all today. He had his echo to be discharged and his ekg both looked good. He had his wound vac removed and his incision looks amazing He now just has a dressing over it. We got to go outside to the healing garden today and to thw play room, he also walked to Starbucks with me to get my coffee and rode in the little car and sat in thw sunroom to read. All in all we had a good day and are hoping to head home tomorrow.

Finley apparently likes it here so he decided he needed oxygen again last night and this morning so he bought us at least one more night here
