If you have Type 2 diabetes or blood sugar issues, the honest answer is this. From a metabolic standpoint, both are a problem.

One of the biggest advantages of telemedicine in my practice is the ability to include caregivers or family members directly in the visit, even if they are in a different location. When everyone hears the same guidance at the same time, there is less confusion and far better follow-through at home.

When blood sugar stays high, it damages blood vessels, stresses the heart, and increases the risk of long term complications. Managing numbers without fixing the cause only allows the problem to continue.
