Many patients leave an appointment with good intentions, but a few days later they canโ€™t remember everything that was discussed. Thatโ€™s completely normal. Medical information can be complex, especially when weโ€™re talking about metabolism, blood sugar, and how the body actually heals.

What I see clinically tells a different story. Excess weight is often a symptom of a broken metabolism, not the root cause. Insulin resistance, chronic inflammation, hormonal imbalance, poor sleep, stress physiology, and nutrient dysfunction can drive both weight gain and rising blood sugar simultaneously.

This is why there are also many thin people with Type 2 diabetes. On the outside, they may look โ€œhealthy,โ€ but internally, their metabolism is struggling. Focusing only on weight misses the deeper issue and delays real correction.

The real question is not just how much you weigh, but how well your metabolism is functioning.
