Do your hands ever go numb or tingle?
Many people assume it’s carpal tunnel, but in a lot of cases the problem actually starts in the neck and upper chest.
One common cause is tight scalene muscles, which can compress nerves traveling from the neck into the arm — a condition known as Thoracic Outlet Syndrome.
In this video, Dr. Ryan Klepko demonstrates a simple scalene stretch that may help relieve tension in this area.
But stretching alone isn’t always enough.
At The Chiropractic Spa in Dunedin, we evaluate the root cause of symptoms like:
• Numbness or tingling in the hands
• Arm weakness
• Neck or shoulder tightness
• Pain that travels down the arm
If you or someone you know is dealing with these symptoms, we can help determine whether the issue is coming from the neck, nerves, or posture.
