A blue collar farm with a purple purpose. Kingdom business is our first agenda. We always point men to the truth – The Holy Bible. We believe the Lord has given us a farm to faithfully invest in the lives of men and their families while working hard on the land. Farm 58 is an environment conducive for a man’s heart to change. God the Father could have given any job to Adam, the first man, and He chose to make him a gardener. When God placed Adam in a perfect garden and in perfect communion with his Maker, God knew that He was creating an atmosphere that would minister to his heart better than any other job could. So, we mimic the same method.

The Bible is enriched with agricultural analogies that become alive when you can experience the Gospel with your very own hands. Sowing, reaping, grafting, pruning, shepherding, tending, cultivating, are all part of the Gospel message. Farm 58 was donated to us for a purpose, a “purple” purpose to help build a foundation based on God’s Word and His principles. Purple is the color of royalty, and we serve the King of Kings. At full capacity, 20 men live, work, and experience Farm 58 in a distraction free environment. Though every man’s journey is different and God’s timing is unique to us all, a man who has displayed humility and faithfulness during his time at the farm will then transition to Renew Ministries in Chattanooga, which serves as phase two. It is here we come alongside the men to help them find jobs, transportation, living arrangements, and all the while learning what truly means to be a member of the body of Christ.

There is no financial cost to the men or their families to enter into Renew at Farm 58, Jesus said, “freely you have received, freely you give.” Families in the Chattanooga area can purchase produce and proteins raised by the men in the ministry at the farm. This, in turn, helps to offset the cost of running the ministry. The remaining funds needed to offer this life changing experience to over 100 men a year comes through generous donations and the support of individuals, business, foundations and churches in the area. Farm58 is a breath taking 180-acres of rolling hills, pristine pasture and mixed woodland. Nestled atop the Cumberland Plateau in Dunlap Tennessee it’s pursuing sustainable, bio-diverse farming, while shepherding and cultivating with passion, love and integrity

Our focus is to steward the land while raising livestock on pasture. Using a system of intensive rotational grazing that mimics nature while investing in people the environment and the soil. Mobile Hen House: Our hens are moved every three days to a fresh ¼ acre paddock of grass behind the cattle to clean, sanitize and scratch through the grass eating as much bugs, worms and grass as they desire. Laying hens are able to acquire 70 percent of their total diet from the pasture so we supplement the remainder of their diet with local non-gmo feed. Producing high quality, amazing flavor farm fresh eggs, while letting the chicken express its chickeness. Pastured Broilers: Our meat chickens are moved in 8ft by 10ft by 2ft mobile shelters to provide protection while enabling them to forage from a fresh piece of pasture each day. By giving them a new solar sanitized clean environment daily there is no need to use any antibiotics or pharmaceuticals to keep them healthy. They spend their day enjoying bugs, worms and grass in the fresh air. They are supplemented with local non-gmo feed. Forest Raised Pork: Our pigs are raised on pig savannas where they can forage on an all-natural diet that consists of grubs, bugs, and grasses. Pigs are able to gather 50 percent of their diet from the forest so we supplement with local non-gmo feed. Thru controlled rotational grazing of the savannah we are providing a healthy, happy habitat for the pigs. All the while managing the level of disturbance to the forest floor encouraging new growth, depositing fertility, investing in the soil ecology and environment. As with our other models of shepherding the flock we manage density and duration allowing us to produce perfect pork with out the use of any antibiotics, hormones or harmful pharmaceuticals

Market garden produce: Our vegetables are grown using organic principles. NO chemical fertilizers pesticides, fungicides or herbicides are ever used. While not certified organic by the USDA our practices and principles go beyond organic. Fertility is produced on farm completing the nutrient cycle with livestock; our compost is amended with trace elements and minerals to ensure the highest quality organic matter. Our goal is to improve soil structure, while producing the most nutrient dense produce available. Salad Bar Beef: Our cattle will be moved to a fresh salad bar each day where they emulate the bison of the Great Plains by moving, mobbing and mowing the grass. Moved daily away from yesterday’s droppings, and a diet consisting of forage only – no dead animals, no chicken manure, no grain, and no fermented forage. By controlling density and duration we eliminate the build up of pathogens and bacteria that in turn allows us to raise happy healthy cattle without the use of any antibiotics, hormones or harmful pharmaceuticals.

Let the 2026 season begin. This will be our 13 season farming on this land.
🧑‍🌾This is a classic spring chore on the farm, amending our beds with our homemade compost from last year’s bedding.
This farming activity will be done over and over to every row and garden block that will be in production this year. 3 of our garden blocks will be resting this year to give the ground time to recover.

On Wednesday mornings our downtown men fellowship and do a book study before work. This is a healthy habit we pray they will continue after their time with us.

Small groups, growing in God’s word and healthy fellowship, is important and don’t always have to happen after a long day. Before work or even at lunch can be a sweet time to meet with other believers.

If you are not in a small group we encourage you to reach out to others and start one or go to your church and seek out a small group. We are meant to do life together in community!

We want to thank one of our business partners .commercial.roofing for coming alongside the men in the ministry and helping us put in a new roof on our big red barn.

The men were able to learn, hands on, from master builders how to install a new tin roof. These are life skills that we know God will use in the future for some of these men.

If you are looking for a local trust worthy company to do your next roofing project we invite you to look into .commercial.roofing today!

During the winter months we do lots of capital improvements and repairs around the farm. This new and improved fire escape is just one of our projects.
Providing a safe and useful space for men to change their lives is a goal of ours. If you would like to contribute to these improvements to better serve the men, please click the donate button in our linktree.

On of our favorite times is when men transition from the farm to in town. To see them rise from death to life in Jesus. Truly new creations and then to pray them off to the next beautiful season where we continue to walk with them now in real life. In town we help them walk out how they live with time, money, and opportunity. It is a sweet time and we are excited to see all God is going to do in this next season with these men!
