Yesterday my five-year-old daughter had a procedure at Regional Hospital, and I feel compelled to share how deeply touched I was by the care we received. From the moment we arrived, every member of the staff treated us with genuine compassion, professionalism, and kindness.
I’ve been to many hospitals over the years, including some of the large, well-known institutions in Philadelphia. Yet the level of personal attention and empathy shown at our local hospital far exceeded what we experienced elsewhere. The nurses, doctors, and support staff went above and beyond to make a stressful day a little easier for both my daughter and our family.
It’s important to recognize the hard-working employees at Regional Hospital who continue to provide excellent care even while facing challenges from an employer that seems to have lost sight of their value. These are dedicated individuals who show up every day to care for our loved ones, often without the recognition or resources they deserve.
As a community, we must do everything we can to support and preserve our local hospitals. We cannot afford to lose these vital services. Let’s work together to ensure Regional Hospital—and the people who make it great—can continue to serve our area for years to come.
