At Back 2 Back Chiropractic of Canton, adjustments are a huge part of what we do, but sometimes your body needs more than a quick realignment. If tissues are irritated, discs are compressed, or muscles are locked down from stress, injury, or overuse, we may recommend adding one of these therapies to help you heal faster, move easier, and keep results longer.

🎶Shockwave Therapy (ESWT)

What it is:
Shockwave Therapy (also called ESWT) is a non-invasive therapy that delivers controlled sound waves into an area that’s been stuck in pain or slow healing. Think of it like a signal to your body that says: "Hey, let’s repair this."

How it works:
Those pulses stimulate circulation and encourage the body’s natural repair response. It can help break up chronic irritation in tendons and soft tissues, reduce sensitivity, and support healthier tissue remodeling over time. Many people love it because it’s focused, fast, and doesn’t require downtime.

If you’ve had pain that just won’t go away, especially tendon or “overuse” type pain, Shockwave may be a game-changer.

Common areas we treat include:
-Plantar fasciitis/heel pain
-Tennis elbow or golfer’s elbow
-Achilles or patellar tendon pain
-Shoulder tendinopathy

What it is:
Spinal Decompression is a gentle, guided traction therapy designed to reduce pressure on the spine, especially the discs and nerves. It’s not the old-school “yank and crank” traction. It’s controlled, comfortable, and tailored to your body.

How it works:
By slowly and intentionally stretching the spine, Decompression can help create space between vertebrae, which may reduce pressure on irritated discs and nerves. That can help calm down symptoms like radiating pain, numbness/tingling, and deep achy low back discomfort that often shows up when the spine is compressed and inflamed.

Decompression is often recommended when people are dealing with:
-Sciatica or radiating leg pain
-Disc bulges/herniations (or suspected disc irritation)
-Low back pain that worsens with sitting or bending
-Pinched-nerve type symptoms (numbness, tingling, and burning)
-Chronic spinal compression from work, lifting, or long hours sitting
-Neck tension with arm symptoms
