The Berman Center

The Berman Center We are a spiritual-based Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for adults, age 18 and older, who suffer This was the genesis of The Berman Center.

In 2013, a very talented, beautiful, and spirited young Jewish woman who suffered from addiction lost her life a few days before her 21st birthday. The mother of this young woman and Alyza Berman discussed at length how to prevent further losses by bringing together resources in our community to effectively address substance abuse. The dove in the logo originated from the beautiful artwork created by the young Jewish woman who lost her life so early. We hope that it provides a lasting inspiration and legacy to address addiction. Alyza dedicates the Berman Center in her memory.

Sometimes the hardest part is taking the first step.

Growth doesn’t happen all at once. It often begins with a small leap—reaching out, starting a conversation, or deciding you deserve support.

Healing takes courage, but you don’t have to navigate it alone.

If you’ve ever taken a leap that changed your life, what helped you do it?

Recovery isn’t just about sobriety—it’s about rebuilding trust.

At The Berman Center, we work with teens and adults every day who are learning how to repair relationships that were impacted by addiction. Rebuilding trust takes time, honesty, and a willingness to listen and take responsibility—but it’s possible.

With the right support, people can strengthen communication, set healthier boundaries, and begin reconnecting with the people who matter most.

Not every mental health struggle requires stepping away from your whole life.

Sometimes what helps most is the right level of support, the right people, and the right environment.

At The Berman Center, structured outpatient programs like PHP and IOP provide evidence-based therapy, community connection, and support while staying connected to daily life.

Starting treatment can feel like a big step—but often it begins with a simple conversation.

Your story is not your addiction.

At Berman Center, narrative therapy helps people in recovery separate themselves from the problem and take back control of their life story. Through simple exercises like storytelling, externalizing the problem, and recognizing small wins, individuals can begin to see addiction as something they can challenge—not something that defines them.

It’s a powerful way to rebuild confidence and move toward lasting recovery.

Courage in recovery doesn’t always look the way people expect.

Some days it’s speaking honestly in therapy.
Some days it’s asking for help.
Some days it’s simply choosing to keep going.

At The Berman Center, we see that courage every day. Healing happens step by step, and no one has to walk that path alone.

If you or someone you love is struggling, support is here.
