Hey Medicare Advantage members!! For 2026 we will still be participating with Humana and you should be able to use your Essence PPO flex cards with us. Remember being out of network, does not mean you will not have any benefits with us, it does mean you may have a co-payment however. ***But it also means that your insurance is not dictating the treatment that you can and cannot receive at your dental office of preference!!***

Illinois law on the assignment of benefits in dental insurance was updated in 2025, effective January 1, 2026, to require insurers to pay providers directly when a patient assigns benefits. This new law, which aligns with the Illinois Insurance Code, mandates direct payments to dental care providers, including any applicable interest for delayed claims. Previously, some plans only assigned benefits to in-network providers, but this new law applies to both in-network and out-of-network providers.
