Congratulations Pat on being chosen to be in our Tenant Spotlight!
Pat has lived at The Homeplace of Durand for 2 years, and has loved every moment of it! She enjoys her independence while being surrounded by friends.
We asked Pat to share a little about herself, she said “I am 93 years young and I am very independent! Pat’s most proud of her beautiful family—she had 8 children who have all grown up to be the most amazing people! Pat had her own quilting business for 40 years and decided it was time to retire! Pat enjoys knitting prayer shawls and dishcloths! If you have not seen them, stop by her apartment on your next visit I am sure she would be thrilled to show you, they are so pretty!
We asked Pat, how did she choose the Homeplace and she said “It is highly recommended in this area, a home-like atmosphere and great people!” Pat knew this would be the perfect place for her!
We asked Pat, did she have any advice to others starting to look for their next home in an Assisted Living setting, she said “Well, make sure the caregivers are friendly and kind, like we have here! You want them to be available when you need them and to treat you like family! It’s why I love this place so much! The care staff are wonderful!”
We asked Pat if she had any other wisdom to share, she said, find a place that is very comfortable and pleasant. A place that offers home cooked meals, like we get here at The Homeplace!” Pat also shared that she likes the choices for activities, that there are prayer services available and that she can stop into the onsite beauty shop!
Pat, thank you for your kind words and for letting us share in your life! 🩷 This picture of you and your family is wonderful!
