Congratulations to Becky, you have been chosen to be in the Team Member Spotlight!
Let’s start off with a little about you, Becky laughed and said “Where do I start?” “Well, I am a mom of a beautiful daughter and a bonus mom to a son! I was raised in Durand but in 2011 I was in Tennessee, where I met my husband!” Becky added “I have been working in healthcare since I was 12 years old! I started out volunteering at Oakview Care Center, worked my way up to caregiver, then moved into an Assistant Director’s position for 6 years! Then I stepped down to more hands-on care, less chaos hahaha, and began working at The Homeplace of Mondovi then finally here in Durand!” Becky sure has had a lot of caregiving experiences, that sure comes in handy here at The Homeplace!
We asked Becky to share what has been her most favorable moment here at The Homeplace, she said “Wow, that’s a hard one! There have been so many moments! I would have to say I love the parties, the laughter, the people that’s always so much fun! I also love the holidays, so many visitors, so much love and so much kindness!” Becky we would have to agree there is a lot of love shared at The Homeplace of Durand!
Becky said she really enjoys ‘bringing smiles to people every day! I love when younger generations come by to visit, they have no idea how much that means to our seniors! My daughter loves to come and visit!” We know that! She is always popping in and we love it!
Finally we asked Becky if she had any advice for new applicants or team members, she thought for a moment and said “Take the time to get to know each and every one of them and always remember this is their home!” Great advice Becky thank you! Congrats on being chosen!
