Greetings FB friends!
As I reflect on this season of gratitude and thanks, I think of all of you who have supported me and Birdsong Yoga Therapy for many years.
I am honored to be of service to you and humbled to witness you in your lifeโs journey ๐
I know that the holidays are difficult for many, especially those in the throes of grief. I have been there, and still, at times, the holiday season can propel me into the darkest depths of my soul.
I have learned, over time, to find shelter in my heart ๐. The peace I now find there reminds me that no matter what I am feeling or what is happening in the world, I can still welcome in the light.
It is possible to acknowledge and process the things in life that feel dark, and to also stand in the light and beauty of this world โจ.
And sometimes, when I find that difficult to do, I turn to music or poetry to inspire me. I recently discovered this poem by Jan Richardson that captures this sentiment eloquently (see 2nd image), and I would like to share it with you as we enter the holiday season.
And with it, I wish you a gentle Thanksgiving and time to rest and reflect.
With gratitude and thanks,
Lynn ๐๐๐๐๐๐
