Happy Birthday to the loudest, funniest, most fabulous Supervisor of Patient Care we could ask for! 🎉🎈

Even after inhaling helium, Baylee can still:

✔️ Answer the phone
✔️ Keep the schedule on track
✔️ Make the entire office laugh
✔️ Supervise patient care like a pro

The voice may have gone up an octave, but the leadership never wavered.

Honoring National Women Physicians Day by celebrating Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell and the powerful legacy she began in 1849. She was the first woman to receive a medical degree in the United States! We are grateful for the women physicians who continue to break barriers, lead with heart, and make positive impacts on the lives of their patients, including our three providers, Lindsay Wilson, Dr. Jeep, & Dr. Johnson🦻🤟

It’s Tinnitus Awareness Week

Ringing, buzzing, or humming in your ears isn’t “just annoying” — it’s a sign your hearing may need attention.

Tinnitus affects millions of people worldwide and is often linked to hearing loss, noise exposure, and stress. For many, it can interfere with sleep, impact mental health, and reduce overall quality of life.

The good news? You don’t have to live with it alone. A hearing evaluation can help identify the cause and open the door to management options that improve daily life.

If tinnitus is part of your story, this week is a reminder to listen to your ears — and take the next step toward better hearing health. Give us a call at (970) 375-2369.

Did you know? More than 90% of deaf children are born to hearing parents.

This statistic comes from the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD), and it highlights just how important early education, support, and resources are for families learning about hearing differences.

For many parents, newborn hearing screening is the first moment they learn their child may be deaf or hard-of-hearing. As NIDCD notes, “Early identification of hearing loss gives a child the best possible chance for healthy development.”

Understanding, communication options, and community support can make an enormous difference in a child’s language development and confidence.

Today, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Our office is closed as we reflect on his powerful call to lead with love, rooted in courage.

“I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.” ~Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

January is National Self-Care Month

Self-care is more than rest and routines — it’s about caring for every part of your well-being, including your hearing.

Untreated hearing loss is closely linked to mental health challenges, feelings of loneliness, and cognitive decline. When we struggle to hear, we often withdraw from conversations and the connections that keep us engaged and fulfilled.

As we begin a new year, consider making hearing health part of your self-care plan. Prioritizing your hearing supports clearer communication, stronger relationships, and a healthier mind. Come visit us at Animas Valley Audiology to have your hearing checked.

Because taking care of yourself means staying connected to the world around you.

Did you know that in the U.S., about 2 to 3 out of every 1,000 children are born with a detectable level of hearing loss in one or both ears?

That might not sound like a lot — but when you consider how many babies are born every year, it adds up to thousands of children who could benefit from early care and support. Early detection is especially important: as the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) notes, “infants who are born deaf or hard-of-hearing have a better chance of learning language if the hearing loss is identified immediately after birth.”

Let’s spread awareness and support hearing checks for newborns. 👶🦻
