Care takes a team. 🤝
Most people only see one part of their care.
What they don’t see is everything happening behind the scenes —
the double checks, the conversations, the quiet moments where teams make sure it’s right.
That’s where good care becomes better care.
Personal Care. Better results.

Care feels different when it’s local.
It’s not just the care you receive.
It’s how it feels while you’re receiving it.
At Animas, that means taking the time, staying present, and showing up when it matters.
Personal Care. Better results.

If you're headed from the south, continue north on US 160/550 and turn right at Larry Valdez Way. Then turn right onto East 8th Avenue. Make a right turn at the light for Rivergate Lane. If you're having trouble finding the detour, please don't hesitate to reach out to our front desk at 970-247-3537. Thanks!

February is Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) and Low Vision Awareness Month.
AMD is a common cause of vision loss in adults over 50, and it can develop gradually without noticeable symptoms at first. Changes in central vision, reading difficulty, or trouble recognizing faces can be early signs.
Regular eye exams and early care can help preserve vision, independence, and quality of life. If you or a loved one are experiencing changes in vision, our local ophthalmology providers are here to help.
If your knees or hips feel stiff in the morning but loosen up as the day goes on, it can be an early sign of joint changes.
Paying attention to patterns like this can help you understand what’s happening in your body and when it might be time to seek guidance. Staying informed is an important part of staying mobile and active.
Healthy smiles start early. Regular dental checkups help prevent cavities, support proper development, and build lifelong habits that keep kids smiling with confidence.
If your child is due for a dental visit, our local providers are here to help make dental care simple and stress-free.
Women in Durango juggle a lot, caring for families, staying active, and showing up for work and neighbors every day. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for women, yet many symptoms can be subtle and easy to overlook.
Today is National Wear Red Day, sponsored by the Heart Association. Wearing red today is a simple way to raise awareness and remind ourselves to prioritize heart health, regular checkups, and preventive care.
Huge thanks to Durango Police for judging today’s annual Animas Surgical Hospital Chili Cook-Off 🌶️👮♂️ We appreciate you being part of the fun!
