CranioSacral Therapy (CST) a Post-Concussion Treatment Option

(CST) is a gentle, non-invasive form of bodywork that focuses on the craniosacral system, which includes the bones, tissues, and fluids that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. CST has been used as a complementary therapy for post-concussion syndrome (PCS) to help alleviate symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, and neck pain. During a session, the therapist uses light touch to evaluate and release restrictions in the craniosacral system, promoting the body's natural ability to heal and restore balance. CST may be utilized in combination with other therapies, such as physical therapy and vestibular-oculomotor therapy, to help patients recover from a concussion.
