Some people move through life with the feeling that they don’t quite belong in the world they’re living in.
They do all the normal things, they show up, they function…
but inside there’s a sense of being separate, like they’re not fully part of something bigger.
This morning during meditation, a simple phrase kept coming up over and over:
Not do.
Just be.
Just live.
It struck me more than I expected, because I realize how many people carry the feeling that they have to keep trying, fixing, or pushing in order to feel like they belong here.
And I almost didn’t share this, because part of me thought maybe it was just a message I needed to hear myself.
But the more I sat with it, the more it felt like something a lot of people experience and don’t always have words for.
The body doesn’t actually relax from doing more.
It relaxes in the moments where nothing has to be proven.
A lot of tension comes from the feeling that you’re not fully connected.
Like you’re here, but not completely part of things.
When the body feels like it belongs, it doesn’t have to fight so hard.
What helps isn’t more effort,
but being in a space where the body doesn’t need to defend itself,
and can remember what it feels like to simply exist
and belong to life.
