When we move with the seasons, we support our bodies and spirits to feel grounded, nourished, and more like ourselves through each shift.

🌅 Today we welcome in a new season—Autumn— the season of transformation. 🍂

This is a season of balance, reflection, and grounding. According to the Ousia calendar, the transition from summer to autumn marks a shift from vitality and expansion into a time of integration and transformation. Where summer encourages us to gather energy and embrace abundance, autumn invites us to slow down, restore equilibrium, and honor the wisdom of letting go.

At Durham Salt Cave, this turning of the season is a reminder to nurture balance within — to release what no longer serves, to steady the body and spirit, and to lean into practices of rest and renewal. Through salt and sound therapy, massage, or quiet moments with tea, we invite you to settle into the grounding rhythm of autumn.

We were honored to see the first session fill so quickly. Since we have the space and resources, we thought—why not offer another Community Session and double our donation capacity? Community care… that’s what it’s all about.

Next Flood Relief Community Session 👉🏽 Sunday at 2pm.

Register through the link in our bio. As before, 100% of these funds—including tips and contributions to the Community Fund—will be directed to organizations actively supporting flood recovery efforts.

We’re also offering Salt & Sound sessions for impacted community members, organizers, and first responders who need a space to decompress and reset. Please don’t hesitate to reach out via our website or phone number.

The Durham Salt Cave is growing, and we’re excited to add more talented massage therapists to our team! If you’re passionate about wellness and skilled in creating a serene, healing environment, we’d love to hear from you.

What we’re looking for:
Weekend Availability
Comfort providing individual and couples massages (in separate rooms).
Ability to offer services ranging from 45-minute, 60-minute, and 90-minute sessions.

Join us in community on the longest night of the year as we attune to the natural rhythms of the seasons and honor the shifting cycle of light. Through live restorative music, warm beverages, and embodied practices, we’ll celebrate the delicate balance and harmonious weaving of light and dark.
