Please join us for a festival celebrating q***r and trans healthcare, movement and somatics, trans and nonbinary musicians, local makers and artists.

Spring is in full bloom and we are well into Aries season. In collaboration with Dormant Plant Parlor and YOU, Radical Healing will co-create a generative Earth Day Festival on Saturday, April 26th from 12pm - 4pm (please note some speakers and workshops begin at 10AM).

We have over 90 incredible artists, healing practitioners, artists, authors, astrologists, musicians, food trucks, speakers and of course, the one and only Stormie Daie, Durham’s beloved drag queen superstar.

We recognize that the urgent challenges facing our planet and communities often have the most devastating effects on those who are already vulnerable. During this turbulent start to the year, we are hoping to co-create our event with your care and support so we may resource and resist in community.

While we are raising funds for Siembra NC and Rainbow Collective for Change, this event is entirely free - everyone is invited to come gather and share resources, find the support they need, and leave empowered with tools that uplift individuals, families, communities, and Earth herself.

Our Psychiatric Medication Management services are centered on achieving the right balance for your mental health needs. With a comprehensive, whole-body-health approach - where all bodies are good bodies - our providers offer inclusive and effective care for all people, especially BIPOC and LGBTQ+ folx. We want to ensure everyone has access to comprehensive, patient-centered care and are now enrolling new patients with daytime, same week, and, soon, evening appointments until 9PM!

We support a wide variety of mental health and general life concerns such as: depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, and so much more.We are excited to partner with you to help support your life goals and health needs. Our med providers partner with our primary care team and extended behavioral health mental health clinician team to build a more integrative health model so that you can be truly well. We're excited to add physical therapy and occupational therapy to the mix soon too!

Our psychiatric med team accept a variety of insurances including: BCBS (all plans including ACA health care exchange plans such as Blue Local, Blue Value and Blue Home), United/Optum/Oscar, Cigna/Evernorth, Aetna, Medcost and soon, we will be in network with Medicaid (HealthyBlue, United Community Plan, Wellcare, Amerihealth).

Thanks for all your care and support and helping us build our program. The more care we provide, the further we are able to reach folx who are uninsured and underinsured so that everyone who wants and needs care may access it.

We’re expanding our mental health clinician team!

Welcome : Oona-Ifé Olaiya Wright, LCSW (she/her), Patricia Blum, LCSW (she/her), Ashley McNatt, LMFTA (she/her), Kristina Gayle Morris LCSW (she/her), Marcus Walton LCMHCA, MDiv (he/him), Haley Cohen LCMHC, CRC (she/her), Givie Lanier LCMHCA (she/her) , and Brittany Galego Fischer LCSW, MSW (she/her).

We offer mental health therapy services for individuals, couples, families, and groups. Our services are inclusive of both talk and body-based modalities such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and expressive arts therapy.

Our service is abundant, adaptable, and diverse, with 30+ in-house therapists, and over 15 mental health professionals who work independently as our campus partners. The Radical Healing Collaborative includes practitioners specializing in everything from gender identity exploration to immigrant experiences to complex trauma and burnout.

"Healing Together: Empowering LGBTQIA+ Communities through Primary Care.” This theme ties into our mission of radical inclusion and social justice while highlighting the importance of accessible healthcare services. We are working diligently to be in network with as many health insurance plans as possible so that we may carry this important critical work to as many community members. We are also working to expand our free and sliding scale mental health, psychiatry, primary care work. Regardless of insurance, we hope everyone who wants and needs care can access care with us...always! We’ll be offering -two- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Groups from January to April 2025 for Q***r and Trans Folx with spaces reserved for partial and full scholarships. Our Skills Group follows a long lineage of q***r and trans providers sharing life-saving skills to our q***r and trans community.

DBT is a structured therapy that teaches skills to help people cope with life’s challenges. And boy, are they putting us through it! These times are tough. We need each other more than ever. We’re excited to reboot this popular and important group and are in the process of recruiting patients.

Groups will likely run on a Saturday late morning and a weekday early evening in-person at The Fanon Group Room (2007 Chapel Hill Road, Durham). We are accepting a sliding scale based on what participants can afford.

Groups will be facilitated by our Clinical Internship Fellows and supervised by David Young Oh, LCMHC and Samara Domanski, LCMHC. Participants will learn how to incorporate skills related to mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotional regulation with q***r & trans peers.

💛 We’re offering full spectrum primary care and welcoming new patients. We offer early morning, same day, and late afternoon appointments with the hopes of serving as many patient needs as possible. radicalhealing.co/primary-care
