We usually bring Similarity Awareness to the students… but this time, the teachers got in on the fun! 👏🍎

Last week, NEP spent the day in Brookline, MA, facilitating our Similarity Awareness Program for educators in the school system. Through hands-on wheelchair sports and games, adaptive equipment demos, and open conversation, teachers explored new ways to build inclusive, accessible and fun learning environments for students of all abilities.

Huge thanks to the Brookline educators for diving in with curiosity, energy, and a willingness to try something new. 🙌

The NEP Wildcats came home from the 2025 Bear Brawl Tournament after a strong showing! 💪🏽😼

The team battled their way to a 3–1 record in Chicago, with their only loss coming against a tough WASA squad. One of the weekend’s biggest highlights: a thriller of a finish on Sunday, where the Wildcats edged out Kansas City 49–48 in double OT to close out the tournament with an epic hard-fought win.

Join Northeast Passage for a fun and welcoming Wheelchair Dancing Class with instructor Caz Nickerson! No experience needed — just bring your energy and enjoy the movement, music, and creativity.

NEP will provide a variety of sport wheelchairs for anyone who wants to try them out, or you can dance in your own everyday chair.

NEP Sled Hockey athletes are hitting the road and heading north to Montreal this weekend! 🇨🇦🏒

They’ll be donning the Bruins black and gold as they face off in a series of friendly exhibition games against our friends from the Montreal program—who will, of course, be repping their Canadiens kits.

It’s all rivalry, all fun, and all great sled hockey. Safe travels and good luck to our athletes! Let’s remind Montreal what New England sled hockey is all about! 🖤💛❄️🥅

The Wildcats NEP Wheelchair Rugby Team is headed to Chicago this weekend for the 2025 Bear Brawl Tournament! 🏉🔥

After taking first place in their first two tournaments of the season, the Wildcats are looking to keep the momentum rolling and come out on top once again at the Bear Brawl.

There was plenty of focus, creativity, and good conversation as everyone worked through each step of the project. We’re grateful to share moments like these in our Veteran Recreation Program, and especially thankful to Operation Hat Trick, whose support makes our Veteran Arts Program possible.

Whether someone prefers to hike fully independently or with support from a team, we have options to match every level of mobility and adventure.

Northeast Passage Programs

The mission of Northeast Passage is to empower people living with disabilities to define, pursue and achieve whole life health, community engagement and fulfillment through the purposeful use of sports and recreation; to develop and promote best practices in the fields of Therapeutic Recreation and Adaptive Sports.

The Adaptive Sports and Recreation program offers a spectrum of service, from entry-level instruction to ongoing recreation and competitive sports. This program provides the appropriate level of support and challenge for clients of all abilities. Northeast Passage offers ongoing programs in different sports of particular interest to people living in New England. See the sports: https://www.nepassage.org/sports

We also offer school and community-based Recreational Therapy programs.
