Only 19.7% of people with vision disabilities and 20.3% of people with other disabilities hold a bachelor’s degree or higher, compared to 38.8% of people without disabilities. This gap reminds us why inclusion matters. Exploring data can serve as a starting point for understanding these differences and for working toward a future where everyone can participate fully and equally in education. It's Braille Literacy month! People who are blind or have low vision are active participants across every sector—from business operations and education to office support and beyond. Today, more than 76,000 people who are blind or have low vision work in Computing and Mathematical occupations alone. Accessible tools —like braille keyboards and other adaptive technologies—could make these opportunities possible.
