Hudson Funeral Home & Cremation Services

Hudson Funeral Home & Cremation Services You often hear people say that funerals are for the living. We also offer Green Burial services for those looking for eco-friendly alternatives.

And they are important, because the funeral process helps you and your family say farewell, and take the first steps toward healing from grief. We can help you plan a service that celebrates the life that has been lived, and communicates all the qualities that made your loved one special to you. Whether you choose traditional burial or cremation, there are many options to tell a unique life story.

.. within your budget. Of course, we help with all the details including providing death certificates, and filing for Veterans, insurance, and pension benefits, as well. And we honor the customs of all faiths and ethnic groups.

Today, March 11th, is National Funeral Director and Mortician Recognition Day, reminding us to thank the professionals who consider every need during the most challenging time in our lives. Funeral directors and morticians dedicate their lives to helping us celebrate our loved ones, bringing together the memories and achievements of someone we've lost to death. With professional guidance and compassion, funeral directors help with every step of planning a funeral. While the news settles, these experts understand how emotional and stressful the process is.

Today, we recognize our very own, Ray Watson, Chris Parsell, and Celeste Hunt. Thank you for what you do to serve the families who call upon Hudson Funeral Home to take care of their loved ones.

Hudson Funeral Home would like to welcome Jenny Rivera to the Hudson team! She is a Durham native and a 2023 graduate of Northern High School.

Her caring and compassionate demeanor not only led her to serve the families in Hudson’s care, but also to enroll in Fayetteville Tech’s Funeral Service Program where she will begin classes in the fall of 2026.

In addition to her job at Hudson, she runs her own nail and flower bouquet business.

Before and after a visitation are those special moments where immediate family members turn to each other for support. They also turn to staff members including our Staff Associates like Caleb Hagwood. It's their compassion and love that so often makes a profound difference for the families in our care at Hudson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Our Story

In the past 100+ years, our community has grown. While times may have changed, our commitment to families has not.

Now in our third generation of family ownership, we are proud to have served families with dignity and compassion for more than 100 years. As in 1919, we continue to provide a family-to-famil level of personal service. One way we do this is by offering choices in burial and cremation services, and choices in cost to fit every budget.

As we celebrate over 100 years as a family business, we remain dedicated to your service and honored by your trust.
