Last Saturday, NCAPA held its annual Thanks for Giving celebration—an event dedicated to recognizing leaders in the PA community who have gone above and beyond to advance PA practice in North Carolina.

During the event, NCAPA President Chris Norman passed the gavel to President-Elect Truett Smith, ensuring continued leadership and momentum moving into 2026.

We were honored to welcome NC Senator Mark Hollo, a retired PA, and present him with a brick in our PA Veteran Garden in recognition of his military service and unwavering advocacy for PAs across the state.

Additionally, Marc Katz, three-time NCAPA President and long-time member, received a ceremonial brick honoring his dedicated service on the North Carolina Medical Board Review Panel.

Whether you are a first-time member or have been part of NCAPA for decades, your involvement strengthens the PA profession and improves patient care throughout North Carolina.

The PA profession was born from military service.

Today, that legacy continues through countless PAs across North Carolina and the nation who have proudly served in uniform, and who now serve their communities in healthcare.

We thank all veterans for their dedication, sacrifice, and service.
