We’re excited to announce a major step forward for NC Children’s: a transformational $25 million gift, the first significant philanthropic investment supporting the creation of a dedicated behavioral health center for children and families across North Carolina.

This gift helps us expand access to comprehensive, compassionate behavioral health services and advance innovative research that leads to better care and improved outcomes.

Dr. Mary Klotman, Vice Chair of NC Children’s Board of Directors & Executive Vice President for Health Affairs at Duke shared:

“At Duke Health, we are deeply committed to expanding behavioral health support for children and families across North Carolina. This generous gift helps us increase access to compassionate, comprehensive care and strengthens the research that leads to better treatments. Through NC Children’s and our strong partnership with UNC Health, we are creating a more coordinated system of care that meets families’ needs today and builds a stronger future for pediatric behavioral health.”
