Thursday afternoons at Arcadia Care at Dwight bring a special tradition for several of our gentlemen residents.

Each week, the fellas gather in the library for their Men’s Stag Party, a time to relax, share stories, and enjoy each other’s company. With ice cold beers, pretzels, and plenty of laughter, it is always a great way to spend the afternoon.

Today was even more exciting as they watched a great boxing match together, cheering on their favorites and enjoying the camaraderie.

Moments like these are a wonderful reminder of how meaningful friendship and shared experiences can be.

Bingo is serious business here at the Arc!

While our Activities Department usually runs the games, we are incredibly grateful for the wonderful volunteers who join us as guest Bingo callers. Recently, the Saint Patrick’s Rosary Ladies spent time with our residents calling Bingo and assisting those who needed a little extra help.

They even brought their own Bingo prizes, which made the afternoon even more exciting for everyone involved.

A special thank you to Patti and the entire group of ladies for sharing your time, kindness, and generosity with our residents. We all had a wonderful time and truly appreciate your continued support!

🥗 Staff Appreciation Lunch 🥗

Every month, the Activities Department puts together a meal for the staff here at Arc at Dwight to show appreciation for all of their hard work and dedication.

This month we enjoyed a delicious salad bar buffet with countless options including bacon, eggs, peppers, rotisserie chicken, peas, tomatoes, and more! Everyone had the chance to build their own salad and pile it high with their favorite toppings.

It was a great way to say thank you to our amazing team. One thing is for sure, no one went away hungry! 😊

We welcomed a brand-new entertainer to Arc at Dwight, and she did not disappoint!

Christina Ronna brought incredible energy as she sang and danced her way through Motown favorites and upbeat classics. The room was full of smiles, clapping, and even a little “Uptown Funk”!

Our residents had an amazing time, and we can’t wait to have her back again soon!

The Local VFW in Dwight hosts a monthly Fried Chicken and Spaghetti Dinner every second Friday, and you already know—it’s a resident favorite!

Our Activities team gathered orders, and the amazing crew at the Dwight VFW prepared everything for one big pickup. This month, 22 residents signed up to enjoy a delicious meal of fried chicken, spaghetti, garlic bread, salad, and a drink.

These moments are just one of the many ways we stay connected to our community and bring joy, tradition, and great food to our residents.

Our Activities Department went above and beyond by putting together a delicious Nacho Bar loaded with all the favorites.

Cassie from Heritage Woods of Dwight stopped by for a special visit to share information about their Assisted Living community and to host a fun wreath-making class for our residents!

Everyone had a wonderful time crafting together, and now our halls are filled with beautiful, handmade wreaths decorating our doors.

Here at The Arc, our residents love a good lunch outing and who doesn’t enjoy a great burger and ice cream? With the cold weather making travel tough and our lunch trips more popular than ever, our Activities Department decided to bring the outing to them!

We had 31 residents sign up to enjoy a full Dairy Queen lunch, and our local DQ team absolutely delivered. A huge thank-you to the amazing staff at Dairy Queen in Dwight for taking on such a big order with smiles and efficiency!

The menu of the day:

🍔 Cheeseburgers
🍗 Chicken strips
🍟 Crispy fries
🍨 Ice cream sundaes & Blizzards (because cold weather won’t stop us!)

The room was filled with laughter, good food, and even better company — a wonderful meal shared with plenty of smiles and warm memories.

Our residents here at Arc at Dwight love a good food day, and last week’s special lunch did not disappoint. We ordered a delicious pizza meal from Casey’s, complete with fresh hot pizzas, crisp salad, a giant cookie or cupcake, and an ice-cold soda.

It was a big hit, and no one left the table hungry.
Stay tuned… you never know where we’ll order from next!
