Stan Watson, 73, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, April 5, 2026, at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg. Born September 15, 1952, he was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Mary Lee Watson. Stan was a faithful member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and proudly served as the local Chaplain for the Dyer County Rescue Squad. Known to many as “Stan the Man from Dyersburgland”, he brought energy and enthusiasm as Master of Ceremonies at numerous racetracks, including Dyersburg, Jackson, Camden, Atwood and Milan. Stan had a special love for vehicles, quick wit and a deep appreciation for life. He never met a stranger and had a gift for making everyone feel welcome.

Stan is survived by his sons, Miles Holland, Bronson Watson, both of Dyersburg; his sister, Brenda Lord and husband, Mike, of Nashville; and three nephews, Michael Lord and wife Melissa, Tom Lord and wife Stephanie and Bob Tweedy and wife Beth.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Holland-Watson; his sister, Freddie Tweedy and his long time companion, Donna Smith.

Celebration of Life services will be announced at a later date.

The family requests memorials be directed to Hillcrest Baptist Church, 825 Hillcrest Avenue, Dyersburg, TN 38024 or Dyer County Rescue Squad, 718 Sharpsferry Road, Newbern, TN 38024

Brenda Williamson, 83, of Dyersburg, died April 3, 2026, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Born October 1, 1942, she was preceded in death by her parents William H. and Maureen Overton Baker. She retired from Dyersburg Housing Authority and was a member of First Christian Church.



Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2026, in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Robert Smith at Fairview Cemetery.

Shane Evans, Cade Evans, Ethan Evans, Corey Criswell, Robby Richards and Bill Bowser will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Monday, April 6th beginning at 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jimmy Williamsom; two daughters, Kelly Bowser (Bill), Kim Hollomon), both of Dyersburg; one grandson, Corey Criswell (Erin); and two great-grandchildren, Owen Criswell and Caroline Criswell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Hayley Criswell; two sisters, Karen Baker, Sandra Baker; and two brothers, Jan Baker and Joe Baker.

The family requests memorials be directed to Dyersburg Dyer County Humane Society, P.O. Box 223, Dyersburg, TN 38025.

Thomas William Davis, 96, of Dyersburg, died March 30, 2026, at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg. Born February 1, 1930, he was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Laverne Wilkerson Davis. Mr. Davis proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a longtime member of Southside Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2026, in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Loren Stephens with interment to follow at Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 4th beginning at 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

His grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

He is survived by his daughter, Diana Davis of Cordova; three sons, Thomas Davis, Jr (Peggy) of Paris, Andy Davis (Jane) of Dyersburg, Mark Davis (Cindy) of Molino, FL; seven grandchildren, James Davis, Angela Davis, Anthony Davis, Jr., Jacob Davis, Jeffery Davis, Jonathan Davis, Joseph Davis; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine “Jerry” Davis in 2005; his sister, Lucille Chaffin; and his great-grandchild, Lilly Davis.

Bobby Lynn Burns, 76, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, March 28, 2026, at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg. Born January 30, 1950, he was preceded in death by his parents, J.T. and Flossie Viola Hurst Burns. He retired as a factory worker.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 1,2026, in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Donnie Crone with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery.

He is survived by his daughter, Misty Oliva (John) of Newbern; his son, Robert Burns of Rutherford; three sisters, Dianne Kelley of Dyersburg, Nita Enochs of Henning, Lyda Bulloch of Ripley, MS; one brother, Nathan Burns of Dyersburg; and his granddaughter, Madison Burns of Newbern.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray Hurst and Tom Burns.
