Mr. Bill Ables, age 64, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026. Funeral arrangements for Mr. Ables are incomplete and will be announced later by Dyersburg Funeral Home.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our owner, Bill Ables, who left us this morning at WTHDH following a massive heart attack.

Bill was more than a leader—he was the heart of Maple Ridge. He was a steadfast advocate for every resident, always putting their needs first and ensuring they were cared for with dignity and compassion. He carried that same respect and care for our staff, creating a place that felt like family.

Bill believed in honesty, even when the truth was hard to hear, and he led with integrity in every decision he made. His knowledge, guidance, and unwavering commitment shaped Maple Ridge into what it is today.

His absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him. We are grateful for the legacy he leaves behind and the lives he touched each day.

Please keep his family, friends, and the entire Maple Ridge community in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

One of the subjects that come up often, "is this where The Hut used to be?" Well, sort of.

If you look at the picture, at the bottom of the sign shows there is a big slope. That was at the edge of the two lane Nichols Avenue, later named Lake Road. When the road was widened to 5 lanes (late 1990's?) much of that was lost. Our office is actually behind the drainage ditch that divided the hut from the trailer park next door. But, yes, we are where The Hut was.

🍀 St. Patrick’s Day at Maple Ridge 🍀

We had a lucky and laughter-filled day celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with our residents! 💚

The day was full of fun activities, including making festive leprechaun hats and enjoying delicious cupcakes topped with shamrocks and a little extra “luck.” 🧁🍀 Our residents looked wonderful dressed in green and had so much fun getting into the spirit of the holiday!

There were smiles, laughter, and sweet treats shared all around — making it a truly special day here at Maple Ridge.

We love creating moments like these that bring joy, connection, and a little extra magic to our residents’ days. 💚

We had a wonderful day at Maple Ridge! ❤️

Mrs. Barbara from the library stopped by to spend time with our residents and lead a fun craft activity. Everyone enjoyed creating beautiful crafts together and sharing conversation and laughter.

We were also treated to a special performance from the talented students of Trinity Christian Academy. Their music filled the room and brought so much joy to our residents.

To top off the day, our residents worked on making wooden letters using natural twigs — each one unique and beautifully crafted.

A big thank you to Mrs. Barbara and Trinity Christian Academy for making today so special for our residents! We truly appreciate our community partners who help bring smiles and meaningful moments to Maple Ridge.

Today at Maple Ridge we had a fun spring craft activity! 🥕🌷 Our residents created adorable carrot door hangers complete with bunny tails and greenery. Everyone enjoyed getting creative, sharing laughs, and adding a little Easter cheer to their rooms.

Craft time is always special because it brings out smiles, memories, and a chance to spend time together doing something meaningful. We love seeing our residents’ personalities shine through their creations!

Our residents at Maple Ridge had a wonderful time getting creative with their St. Patrick’s Day crafts! They made festive shamrock decorations and added a little “pot of gold” sparkle to celebrate the holiday. 🌈✨

Our residents stayed busy and engaged from start to finish! This morning they created beautiful wooden crosses, then we were blessed with a special visit from a lovely guest singer, and we wrapped up the day with a fantastic turnout for Bunco! 🎶🎲

Our day was filled with creativity, color, and a sweet reminder of the season’s true meaning. ✝️🌷

Residents enjoyed making peek-a-boo bunnies, painting vibrant crosses, and admiring the beautiful spring welcome arrangement — thoughtfully designed by our Activities Director to greet everyone with warmth and joy.

While the bunnies made us smile, the crosses reminded us that Jesus is the reason for this season, bringing a message of hope, renewal, and love.

Moments like these nurture not only creativity, but faith, fellowship, and grateful hearts here at Maple Ridge. 💛
