When a cough is weak, mechanics matter.

In an in vitro model, BiWaze® Cough delivered:
• Lower Peak Inspiratory Flow (PIF) + higher Peak Cough Flow (PCF), yielding greater expiratory flow bias (ΔPCF–PIF) at identical IP/EP settings
• A square inspiratory flow profile (less “burst” at start)
• A brief exsufflation flow pause in the waveform, similar to the natural glottic reflex
• PAP on Pause that increased end-expiratory volume between cough cycles

These design elements are intended to support cough efficiency while maintaining lung volume during therapy pauses.

Postoperative pulmonary complications (PPCs) are common—but preventable steps exist.
In a multicenter implementation study, adding Oscillation & Lung Expansion (OLE) therapy was associated with:
↓ 31% PPCs across all patients
↓ 47% PPCs in intubated patients
↓ 64% ventilator time
↓ 1.6 days hospital length of stay
