Trying to find balance in life is difficult.
Even when you feel like you have it in one area, something can come along and topple you over.
For example: You might be eating well, sleeping enough, exercising and managing your stress effectively. Then you have a family conflict that's really difficult to handle. You start stress eating and having a couple drinks at night, your sleep suffers as a result, which affects your ability to regulate stress and food intake. You're too tired to exercise. It becomes a cycle of imbalance.
Balance isn't something we achieve once and for all, it's something we have to work on continuously. If you stand on one foot and close your eyes you'll likely have to rebalance yourself numerous times a minute, eventually you get better at it, but you can't maintain that position indefinitely.
Rebalancing life is similar, it takes awareness and the willingness to rebalance over and over. And it never hurts to have someone who you can lean on.
