I'm a DONA-trained doula serving the Twin Cities area through Blue Lotus, a partnership with fellow doula Jessica Buche. I've been providing doula care for 15 years, for all types of families and in many birthing environments. I believe that every mother and her family deserve a pregnancy and birth experience that is true to them. Expecting families are presented with so many rules to follow, so many standards to meet, and so much advice to absorb that they often lose their own identity. My desire as a doula is not to provide the "right" rules or the golden standard, but instead to help your family find its voice and champion that voice throughout your experience.

What a lovely a lovely Sunday ! A baby shower for my amazing friend and client!! I got to see a former birth client and hold her baby who is now 6 months and adorable. I got to meet a brand new postpartum client baby. And tonight I get to love on yet another baby! So much love!!

Yesterday included holding babies, playing play dough with a 3 year olds, reading children’s books, doing “yoga” with an 11 month old, changing poopy diapers at 1 and 2 and 3 in the morning, telling stories , listening to the fears and questions of a new parent, enjoying the beautiful sight of a grandma holding her newest grandson, cooking, washing dishes, driving 45 to pick up a unicycle, and coffee with the delightful Jessica Buche! It was a very full 24 hours and just the right medicine for this soul.
