Monarch team members gathered at the ๐’๐ฅ๐ž๐ž๐ฉ๐ฒ ๐„๐ฒ๐ž ๐‚๐ก๐š๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ซ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ž๐ซ๐œ๐ž ๐€๐ง๐ง๐ฎ๐š๐ฅ ๐€๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐๐ฌ ๐ƒ๐ข๐ง๐ง๐ž๐ซ on March 7 at the Sleepy Eye Event Center for a night of connection, recognition, and community pride.

At ceremonies held on March 3 in Faribault and March 5 in North Mankato, students signed letters of intent indicating their plans to enroll in Career and Technical Education programs beginning Fall 2026โ€”an exciting milestone that recognizes the value of hands-on education and the essential careers it leads to.

Thanks to the support of the SCC Foundation and industry partners, every participating student received a $500 scholarship, with some awarded up to $2,500 through Minnesota Workforce Development Scholarships. ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿง‘๐Ÿผโ€๐ŸŽ“๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

On this week, our communities celebrated Dr. Seuss Day and Read Across America Day with โ€œDr. Seuss & Silly Sock Dayโ€ โ€” an homage to the author of Green Eggs and Ham, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, The Cat in the Hat, and countless other childrenโ€™s classics with creativity, color, and plenty of wild socks!

Team members across the organization showed up in Seuss-inspired style: character costumes, themed shirts, bold patterns, and the most delightfully mismatched socks youโ€™ve ever seen. The energy was contagious, and the effort did not go unnoticed.

A special shoutout to The Villas at Brookview, where one team member went all in โ€” dressed head-to-toe orange as the Lorax, complete with the signature bushy brows and mustache. Commitment level: expert.

And letโ€™s talk snacks. Several communities served up clever Seuss-themed treats, including โ€œHop on Pop(corn)!โ€, a whimsical cheese sculpture dubbed โ€œThree Cheese Trees,โ€ and a hot take on green eggs (we think itโ€™s pistachio pudding, but it could be the real deal) โ€” proving once again that our teams donโ€™t just participateโ€ฆ they elevate.

Events like these may be playful on the surface, but they reflect something deeper: engagement, teamwork, and a culture that embraces joy in the everyday. We are so proud of the creativity and spirit shown across our communities.
