The facility’s in-house dialysis program allows residents to receive life-sustaining treatment without leaving the comfort of their community — even in the coldest Minnesota winters. By coordinating care between skilled nursing and dialysis teams, The Villas at the Cedars helps residents achieve better outcomes and a higher quality of life.

We had a great week at the Care Providers of Minnesota 77th Annual Convention & Exposition at Mystic Lake Center! From Monday through Wednesday, our team connected with peers across the state, explored new ideas in long-term care, and attended inspiring sessions focused on innovation, workforce, and quality care.

Monarch was proud to present three sessions this year, highlighting key opportunities and challenges in today’s LTC landscape:

• 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 — Dan Strittmater, Erica Sward, and Jessica Yang showcased creative strategies for recruiting and retention in a challenging labor market, from geo-fencing ads and targeted campaigns to career-path programs, school partnerships, and grant programs.
• 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐠-𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐦 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 — Jessica Yang, Director of Workforce Acquisition and Development for New Americans, shared how Monarch Healthcare Management’s $1.23 million DHS grant is breaking barriers and building career pathways for immigrants and their families.

On this week, teams were encouraged to wear blue for kindness! One Monarch community even set up an Appreciation Station where team members could jot down notes of appreciation to deliver to one another. A simple act of kindness, even a smile, can brighten someone’s day—and our Monarch family never misses a chance to do just that.

🏒 What a game! Monarch Healthcare Management was proud to sponsor Friday night’s Minnesota State Mavericks matchup against Bowling Green.

The energy in the arena was electric from start to finish — and with 1,000 rally towels handed out to the first fans through the door, there was plenty of purple pride in the stands! 💜

After three hard-fought periods, the Mavericks and Falcons ended regulation tied 4–4, but the Mavericks came out on top in the shootout to earn the extra point.

We’re always thrilled to cheer on the Mavs and be part of the excitement.

We had a fantastic time exhibiting at the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗖𝗛 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 & 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗼 in St. Paul!

This year’s theme, “Flourishing Through Change: Innovation, Strength, and Growth,” celebrated the resilience and creativity of professionals working in substance use disorder care. Over three days, more than 1,000 attendees came together to share ideas, learn from experts, and strengthen our collective impact.

It was an honor to be part of such an inspiring event and to connect with so many partners and peers who are helping shape the future of recovery services in Minnesota and beyond.
