Our team recently had the opportunity to attend the AACC Waymaker conference in Orlando, Florida. Not only was lots of fun had, our team had the opportunity to learn from some of the best minds in psychology, counseling and ministry such as Dr. Ben Carson, Daniel Amen, Neil T. Anderson, Jeff and Terra Mattson and so many more!

We all got to return refreshed and with new skills and resources to better help YOU.

Our team recently had the opportunity to go through the Prepare/Enrich assessment certification. We had the joy of spending the day with Jim and Patty Robinson of Family Life Coaching of Minnesota, getting to know them as a couple and learning from their knowledge and years of wisdom as a seasoned couple in marriage and counseling was a true blessing.

Prepare/Enrich is an assessment used as a tool with dating, engaged and married couples to bring more understanding and connection within the relationship. We are so excited to announce that now our entire team is certified as a Prepare/Enrich facilitator!

Healing Rivers Christian Counseling is looking for an experienced, communicative, and compassionate therapist to join our team. We specialize in working with those who have experienced any form of trauma or abuse including: verbal, emotional, psychological, physical, sexual, spiritual, or ritual abuse.

At Healing Rivers Christian Counseling we desire to bridge the gap between the therapeutic world and the church world.The right fit for Healing Rivers Christian Counseling would have strong clinical skills and a strong understanding of their identity in Jesus Christ.

In this role, you will work directly with clients to actively listen to problems and concerns and suggest healthy and productive ways of coping with those issues and hold an ability to integrate prayer into the therapeutic process.

A New Year's Prayer:

Dear God,
Thank you for all that you have taught me this year of 2020. In the moments where it seemed I would break from isolation, depression, fear and trauma, You have shown yourself faithful to me even in a season I was not prepared for. As I move into 2021, continue to teach me to keep my gaze on You. Set my mind each morning to your unfailing love, continue to show me the ways in which You will bring my healing and wholeness. Will you continue to teach me to know your presence? Will you continue to teach me to recognize your voice? Remind me, God, of who I am in YOU. Bring me to the secret place that you have made only for You and me, Jesus. May I know the truths you sing over me each day, may I not be afraid to lean closer into Your presence.

I come against the attack of the enemy on my mind, body and spirit and anything or anyone that tries to hinder what God has destined for me and in this new season. I place a hedge of protection around my mind, body and spirit and proclaim that I belong to the God above all Gods. No matter what this past year brought or this new year will bring, I choose to lean into Your yielding and choose the path of life in You, Father. Thank you for making me whole.
