✨ Support recovery through lived experience
✨ Show up in communities with Peer Support Pop-Ups
✨ Grow programs like Next Step

An important message from the Office of the Chief Executive:

After the longest shutdown in American history, the federal government is once again open. This comes after President Trump signed a bill into law funding the government through January 30, 2026. Importantly, SNAP benefits are funded through September 2026 and have been issued to eligible participants in the State of Minnesota. The Mille Lacs Band continues to monitor the situation and assess any future impacts.

Band members who could use some extra support with food this holiday season have options. The Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) serves those who meet eligibility requirements, while the Band’s food shelf is open to anyone in need of a little help.

If you’d like assistance or have questions about either program, please contact Dean Reynolds at d
dean.reynolds@hhs.millelacsband-nsn.gov or 320-362-4672.

If you are experiencing issues with your SNAP benefits, please contact Candace Benjamin at candace.benjamin@millelacsband.com or 320-362-0014.

The reaction from the White House press corps to a personal attack on a colleague has been muted — in an apparent attempt to avoid losing further access.
