🎀 Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Honoring Strength & Hope 💗

Earlier this month, our Maverick Home Health team gathered to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to honor the incredible strength, courage, and resilience of those affected by breast cancer, including one of our very own survivors. 💪✨

It was a heartfelt afternoon filled with support, unity, and plenty of pink! 💕 Thank you to our amazing team for showing up and standing together in hope and solidarity.

Let’s continue to spread awareness, encourage early detection, and lift up those impacted by this journey. 💗

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING – TAKE SHELTER NOW
Issued By: National Weather Service, Austin/San Antonio, TX
Affected Area: Val Verde County and surrounding regions.

Summary:
At 8:51 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were detected along a line from northeast of Juno to west of Loma Alta and near Seminole Canyon State Park, moving east at approximately 25 mph.

Hazards:
• Winds up to 70 mph
• Penny-sized hail
• Heavy rain and frequent lightning

Expected Impacts:
• Significant tree and roof damage possible
• Mobile homes and outbuildings may sustain damage
• Power outages and debris on roadways are likely

Impacted Locations Include:
Del Rio, Laughlin AFB, Comstock, Juno, Loma Alta, Seminole Canyon State Park, Amistad Village, Cienegas Terrace, Carta Valley, and nearby communities around Lake Amistad.

Safety Instructions:
• Take shelter immediately in an interior room on the
lowest floor of a sturdy building.
• Stay indoors and away from windows.
• Avoid water activities—lightning can strike up to 15 miles from the storm.
• Do NOT drive through flooded roads—turn around, don’t drown.
• Remain alert for additional warnings or flash flood alerts.

Threat Level:
• Wind Threat: Up to 70 mph (Radar Indicated)
• Hail Threat: Penny-sized (Radar Indicated)
• Damage Threat: Considerable
