A Special Visit from Dr. Sayed Ghafouri! 🩺✨
MCHD was pleased to welcome Dr. Sayed Ghafouri, Oncology and Hematology specialist, during his recent visit to our community. As we continue working to expand specialized care, we were excited to introduce him to our facilities, team, and the patients we serve.
To mark the occasion, MCHD hosted a luncheon attended by MCHD leadership, healthcare providers, and community leaders, including Mayor Aaron Valdez, Board Chairman Adolfo Olivares, Vice Chair Stephany Valdez, and CEO Nestor Bonilla. It was a great opportunity to connect and have meaningful conversations about strengthening care in our community.
We are grateful for Dr. Ghafouri’s time and interest in MCHD. Visits like this help us continue building strong partnerships and expanding access to quality care close to home.
Thank you, Dr. Ghafouri, for visiting MCHD. 💙

Happy National Doctors’ Day 🩺
Today, we take a moment to recognize and thank our physicians for the dedication and compassion they bring to our community.
Behind every patient seen, every diagnosis made, and every life touched, there is a physician who chose to serve with purpose. The work you do is not easy, but it is deeply meaningful, and our community is stronger because of it.
At Maverick County Hospital District, we are proud to stand alongside physicians who continue to show up for our patients with professionalism, respect, and commitment.
Thank you for the impact you make and for the care you provide to our community.
