Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center is proud to be an active member of the Southwest Texas Regional Advisory Council (STRAC), which supports hospitals in meeting the Texas Department of State Health Services trauma guidelines and requirements.

With the assistance of STRAC and University Hospital, we hosted “Crashing Kids: Pediatric Emergency Management Strategies.” Led by our Emergency Department and Trauma Department, this comprehensive training included both pre‑hospital and in‑hospital education. Our Quality team attended, nurses from multiple departments participated, and our local Fire Department joined to help strengthen coordinated emergency response efforts.

At Fort Duncan, continuous education and collaboration ensure we remain prepared to deliver safe, high‑quality trauma care—when every second counts.
