This year's Halloween was a huge hit here at Lakeland Senior Living! We had a fantastic lineup of activities, including a Trunk-or-Treat, a pumpkin decorating contest, popcorn, and a special witches brew. To top it off, the staff participated in a costume parade. A big shout-out to resident Dorothy, who won the pumpkin decorating contest----way to go Dorothy!

We had our annual Black and Orange party on October 27th to kick off spirit week and it was a great success. There were plenty of games and festive black and orange snacks to enjoy. And Paula's special 7-up and sherbet punch was a big hit!

Thank you, southern Oregon Historical Society for a great performance, regarding the history of Hanley farm, which was established in 1857.
Owned and operated by the southern Oregon Historical Society, Hanley farm strives to preserve the history of the people who settled the land and their contributions to the agricultural development to the rogue valley.

On Thursday, October 16th, the Mayor of Eagle Point Kathy Sell paid a special visit to Ellie Hawkins, who just celebrated her 100th birthday on October 7th. The mayor was in Japan at the time of Ellie's party.
What a wonderful surprise all around!

At Lakeland, friends, family, residence and staff, shared in a 100th birthday tea party celebration for one of our residents, Ellie Hawkins on October 7th.
A big Thank you to everyone involved in making this special day for Ellie. Also, Thank you to Heavens Sent Flowers for the beautiful, amazing flower arrangements.
A special thank you to the harpist and owner of Heavenly Harps, Celia Canty.
Ellie also received a certificate of special recognition from the mayor of Eagle Point.
It was definitely a happy, exciting fun day for everyone here at lakeland senior living.
