We are excited to welcome Natasha Roush, LCSW, to the Peak Counseling team! Natasha has more than 20 years experience in the mental health field with her primary focus on therapy since 2006. On behalf of myself and the rest of the Peak Counseling team, we would like to express our deep gratitude for the dedication you have given your clients here at Peak Counseling. You are a very skilled and caring provider and our team was truly lucky to have you! With your retirement, we are excited for you in your next chapter of life, but we will miss you as part of our team. Sally, even though you will no longer be employed by this company, you will always be part of the Peak Counseling team.

Sally has helped thousands of people throughout the years and was part of helping the Social Work profession become what it is today. In 1975, she graduated with her BA in Sociology from San Jose State University and in 1980 graduated with her Masters in Social Work from the University of Washington. She was number “72” for acquiring her Alaska, Social Work license back in 1989. Over the years she has worked with students in the grade school and university setting and has helped clients in various community health and mental health organizations. One can only appreciate the years of service she has given by listing those places she has worked:

Coronavirus Update: Beginning Wednesday, March 18, 2020, Peak Counseling will only offer online telehealth counseling, as our office will be closed for in-person sessions.
Please visit our website https://peakcounseling.com/online-counseling for details on how to prepare for your online counseling sessions. If clients have any difficulty with their online session, a phone session can be done instead. We will make an announcement once we are open again for in-person sessions. Thanks for your support!

Coronavirus Update 3-17-2020:

Our office remains open to see clients, with the following restrictions in place:

1. If you or a family member is or has been sick with a cough, fever or shortness of breath, please do not come to the office for 14 days after you or your family member is free of symptoms - Please contact your therapist to use our TELEHEALTH online counseling instead.
2. Alaska Health and Social Services posted on March 15th, 2020 "For travelers returning within 14 days from outside of Alaska (including the rest of the United States) you should minimize contact with people as much as possible, self-monitor and practice social distancing". If you have recently traveled outside of Alaska, for 2 weeks we request that you either cancel your appointment or use our new TELEHEALTH online counseling.
3. In order to keep our office sanitized and ensure surface areas can be easily disinfected, our toys, books, waiting room pens and clipboards have been put away. For payments, please visit our online "make a payment" page at peakcounseling.com. For client forms (such as new client or online consent), please print and sign those forms from home and bring them with you when you meet with your therapist.
4. Our waiting room is closed. We ask clients to go straight from their car to the counseling room. Your therapist can text or call you when they are ready for you to enter the office to start the appointment.
5. Please wash your hands when entering the office.

Did you know we offer telehealth (online) services?
Due to growing concerns over the Coronavirus (COVID-19), our community has recently taken proactive steps to minimize the spread of the virus to Alaska residents. From closures of schools and colleges to postponing events and travel, our government, city and many other companies are taking preventative measures. Ensuring that our office provides a safe environment for our clients and our staff is our number one priority. At this time our office remains open. We understand some families and adults may be hesitant to come to our office. There are other options: We offer online, telehealth counseling services that you can do from your own home or office. We are excited to announce that Dana Hall, LPA, has joined our team of counselors at Peak Counseling. Dana works with children, teens and adults and has immediate availability for Friday and Saturday appointments. She is currently in-network with Blue Cross and Tri-West (VA), and soon to be credentialed with Tricare, Aetna, Cigna, Optum and others. Dana is a Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) with 14 years experience providing clinical therapy, assessment and case management services to Alaska clients in both outpatient behavioral health and residential care settings.
