🌙 The Power of Preparation: Why Pre-Cleanse Rituals Matter

One of the most overlooked (and most important) parts of a seasonal cleanse is the preparation phase. Ayurveda teaches us that health is built on rhythm, awareness, and consistency. By easing into change instead of rushing, your body and mind feel supported every step of the way.

Here’s how to prepare for your fall cleanse with intention:

🌿 1. Practice the Ten Conscious Eating Habits

Cleansing is not only about what you eat, but how you eat. Slowing down, chewing thoroughly, savoring your food, and eating without distraction all strengthen your agni (digestive fire). This practice alone improves digestion, helps your body absorb nutrients more fully, and creates calm around meals.

Before diving into a cleanse, begin gently reducing or eliminating foods that can disrupt digestion or create heaviness:

When the winds pick up, the air cools, and life feels just a little more unpredictable… we’ve stepped into Vata season.

Vata energy is light, mobile, and changeable. While these qualities can inspire creativity and new ideas, too much Vata can leave us feeling:
🌬️ Scattered or anxious
🌬️ Restless and unable to focus
🌬️ Bloated, gassy, or irregular digestion
🌬️ Wired at night, but exhausted during the day

The antidote? Consistency.

🌿 Keeping a steady daily rhythm — waking, eating, and resting at regular times — gives Vata a sense of grounding and safety.
🌿 Nourishing the body with warm, cooked meals helps balance that airy, mobile quality.

Blue Heart Springs • August 22–24

This past weekend was one I’ll carry with me for a long time.

A beautiful group of women gathered together—many of them seeking something quiet and essential: space to unplug, permission to open up to new connections, and a willingness to share in something honest and grounding.

We floated down the Snake River, kayaked to the turquoise waters of Blue Heart Springs, and soaked under the stars at Miracle Hot Springs. But what made it unforgettable was the way everyone showed up—with presence, vulnerability, and joy.

Friendships blossomed around the campfire. Laughter echoed over meals. And in still moments, we remembered how good it feels to slow down and simply be ourselves!

I’m so grateful for the women who trusted me to guide this retreat and for the energy we created together. This kind of magic doesn’t happen every day—and I’m so proud to be part of something so rooted, alive, and real.
