Our care model is a holistic one in which we treat each patient with dignity and respect.

Your Keystone Hospice team includes: Your Attending Physician, Hospice Medical Director, Case Managing Nurse, Social Worker, Chaplain/Spiritual Counselor, Hospice Aide, Alternative Therapy Practitioner, and Volunteers. We provide:
• home visits by each team member
• Medications related to pain management and symptom control
• Medical equipment and supplies need to maintain independence and mana

ge symptoms
• Respite Care
• General Inpatient Care, short term, if symptoms or pain cannot be managed at home
• Short term Continuous in home care as needed for severe pain or symptoms
• Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy as needed for comfort
• Counseling and Emotional Support
• Complementary & Alternative Therapies

We offer an array of alternative therapies that provide opportunities to find freedom from physical,
mental, social, and spiritual pain and discomfort that can accompany the end-of-life journey. These
include:
• Aromatherapy
• Massage Therapy
• Acupuncture
• Reiki
• Cranio-sacral Massage
• Pet Therapy

One of Amy H.'s favorite Keystone Memory has to do with Matiese the therapy dog. We had a request for a patient who lived at home, and her daughter was sitting on the floor. As our team walked in, Matiese went and sat on the daughter's lap for a long cuddle. Later, our team learned that the daughter was having a difficult time processing her mom's imminent passing, and Matiese had sensed that during their visit. Aren't dogs just so special?

We are so honored to have won Idaho's Best Hospice award for the 3rd consecutive year. We love our team, our patients, and helping everyone live their lives to the fullest.

And by the way, did you know what we now have in common with the Yankees, Bulls, and Lakers? We all have a 3 peat. Pretty nice company. (Now if only Idaho had a professional sports team...)

About a year and a half ago, we took one of our patients to go flying. He'd been flying planes since he was 13, and got to go fly one last time.

Our adventure at Zoo Boise this last week was so much fun. We brought two of our hospice patients along with some other residents of Emerson House to see the animals. It was a little chilly, but we all had fun still.
