450 Lki: I’m about two weeks post-surgery, and I wanted to take my time with this review.
Let me start by saying how impressed I am with Dr. Grange and his team. They’re incredibly fast and efficient, but they also take the time to answer any questions or make any changes you might need.
As a black and white person, I had expected just what I had read, but it wasn’t quite as expected.
On the day of surgery, I arrived an hour early and got a series of drops, four at a time. They told me it was painless, but the first eye I did experience some discomfort, which lasted about 24 hours. The next eye, I got one more drop of numbing liquid, and that did the trick.
Everyone is different, so I can’t say for sure if this will happen to you. I will say that the best way to spend the day of surgery is to sleep if you can. Mild pain relief is a must, and the healing process is as fast as described. I had a scratching feeling, but that went away in 24 hours.
So far, the results have been great. I chose the best lenses so I could finally get rid of my glasses. Before, I had to wear them for everything. Two weeks out, I don’t need glasses for anything, and you won’t the next day!
That said, it’s not all roses. My current vision is around 20-25. Will it improve?
Driving at night, I have bright rings around things like traffic lights! Some people say it will go away, while others say you get used to it. I’m a bit nervous because I love to travel, and I’m not comfortable driving at night right now.
This is a process, and your mind needs time to adjust to the changes. I’ll keep my positive attitude and see where this takes me.
Since I haven’t seen any other doctors, it’s hard to compare, but I don’t think you can go wrong with Dr. Grange and his staff. Any results I’m experiencing are a result of cataract surgery and not necessarily the way it was performed.
