It was many years ago, when I was visiting with Dr. Anju Usman, MD, that the topic of mitochondrial dysfunction in children with autism was gaining traction.

“I’ve struggled with migraines since 2007, but since I have struggled with it for so long it became normal to me. I often woke up with headaches, but some days they were so bad I would get severe dizziness. Many times I felt like I could not even move. I was not able to drive and would have to call in sick at work. On the “mild headache” days I could normally treat it with over the counter ibuprofen or Tylenol, but it doesn’t always work. I’ve tried everything from changing my diet, eliminating dairy, meats and gluten. I have seen different types of doctors, but I was still struggling. After I saw Mr. Fransen, within a week of treatment my migraines began to decrease substantially and within a month they were so much better. Now, 8 months after seeing Mr. Fransen just one time I have 1 headache per week, but that’s way better than having it daily. I’m so thankful for Mr. Fransen!”
